Why you may not be seeing results.
We both know that all results worth having do take time. Whether this be results in business, in our career, education, or physically what we see in the mirror.
There is never a one size fits all process, and there is certainly never a guaranteed outcome.
What is guaranteed, is the more you put into something, the more reward will come out. If you cheat yourself to make things easier, the less reward that will come out. It's that simple.
5 REASONS WHY YOU ARE NOT SEEING RESULTS:
1) PATIENCE
It is normal human behaviour to do things in the quickest and most efficient way possible. So being patient in a phase and repeating the same actions day by day can feel long and repetitive.
2) ADHERENCE
Most people when we ask them, will say there are doing everything they can. Unfortunately this is a lie, because you can not be 100% at anything. There is always a way to improve on what you are doing. For most people it is the fact that they lack adherence to following their plans and programs as close to 100% as they can. This isn't just focused on calorie control, but also down to the levels of sleep, stress, hydration, movement etc.
3) ACCOUNTABILITY
Do you check in with yourself from an objective perspective? When we look in the mirror, our first feeling is always going to be emotional as we are always going to start with a subjective perspective before being objective. The mirror can sometimes be an enemy because of it. The best way to stay accountable to yourself is to take progress photos consistently to check in with yourself and compare week to week. Comparison of your progress will take away the emotional subjective responses.
4) THE PROCESS
Maybe it's not just you, maybe the process is no longer best suited to you? Our bodies change daily, which means if you set yourself a calorie target, a training program, and tick all the boxes, you may only see results for a short period of time until they hinder or diminish. Understand that human bodies are complex machines and we do not operate as a simple calculation. The process you follow needs individualised structure around what is best suited for you.
5) YO-YO MENTALITY
Are you all or nothing?
Or do you aim to do as much as you can each day despite whether it's Friday or Monday, or whether there's cake for morning tea in the office, or if you're just having a bad day?
At the end of the day, you have to learn to create consistency in an inconsistent routine (called life). We are already set up for a yo-yo lifestyle with working 5 days, and being off for 2 days. So how will you gain consistency every day and not just 5/7? It's your call.
